This month, I was thinking about all of the things that I've achieved in my life. All of the places I've been, the journeys and the accomplishments.
And the one common theme, whether playing in Volleyball tournaments in high school, completing the 2006 NYC Marathon or hiking up a hill in Hawaii, is that if I wanted to do it, then the only way it happened was for me to go for it!
I think about the young women in my life, and I'm so impressed at the variety of things they embrace. Playing the bass, dancing, singing, ultimate Frisbee etc. And all of these things started with a simple desire and want to do it.
If you really want something, the only way it is going to happen is for you to go for it! You have to put YOUR ALL into what you want or you're never going to accomplish it or achieve it. Just saying it is not enough!
Your parents and peers can encourage you, they can even help guide you along the path, but the only way it comes to life is through you!
What is it that you want to do? What is it that you've always wanted to do?
Don't wait a moment longer!
Just GO FOR IT!!!
