Style is defined as the manner in which something is said, done,
expressed, or performed: a style of speech and writing.
Style isn't just how you dress or what designer you're wearing, it's
also how you live and what kind of person you are. If you dress in head to toe designer but carry yourself with little respect then what's the use of looking the part if you're not being the part.
What's on the inside and how you carry yourself matters more than what's on the outside. Its important to me to be honest with myself and others as well as having integrity in all my affairs. If I'm not either of these things then why would anyone trust me professionally or otherwise.
The main part of my career is building relationships with people so they become my clients. In order to build that relationship I must be able to establish trust.
However, as a stylist I'm always aware of striving for the balance in both doing good and also looking good. When I dress, I always ask myself is this something that my clients will say "yes, I want her opinion and trust her fashion sense." My fashion style has to be appealing in order for my clients to trust me to style them for an occasion, business or for every day life.
So what's your balance? How do you tell the world who you are and also express your fashion sense and style?
