As the summer winds down to an end fall fashions are sneaking their way into our favorite magazines and are showing up on our favorite celebs. Now I love the new fashions trends as much as the next teenage girl and I bet your dying to know how to update your style as the seasons change. Thank goodness you have me, an expert fashionista who loves to help everybody look their absolute best. The key to staying with the trends is to add your own personality to whatever you wear be it neon leggings, suede wedge boots, gladiator heels, and so on.
Fall 2009 trends are coming in head first, so let’s start there. Short hair is almost always in season but if you’re afraid to cut off your tresses don’t worry, there are plenty of long styles you can wear and still be fashionable. Long soft curls will always be a timeless trend that you can spice up. For instance if you have black or brown hair don’t be a stranger to color. Medium browns and deep reds brighten up the face during these chilly fall days. If that’s not your style don’t shy away from other colors you’ll never know what your ideal hair color is until you try.
Speaking of the face lets talk about the right type of make-up (my-fav) for this season. Deep purple’s and maroons seem to be this fall’s color so offset those colors with soft pinks, bronze, and even light grays. Whatever eye shadow best matches your outfit color, lift one shade lighter to compliment the outfit.
As far as clothes, jeans are truly your best friend. During this season you may want to try a darker wash denim instead of the summery light wash. Try on as many pairs until you find the right jean for your body, this may include going to a few different stores but in the end it’ll be worth every second. The right pair of jeans can complete any outfit.
For a cool almost grown look try a purple or deep red buttoned down shirt with some dark washed jeans and some black or silver flats. Remember you can always add your own style be it with accessories, color, hair etc.
Footwear is the perfect outlet to express your individuality. Make a statement with some heels in your favorite color. If you not a heel person flats and gym shoes might sound better, and they come in a variety of colors so you have plenty to choose from.
The biggest key to looking your best this fall is feeling your best, stay away from ill fitting clothes. When your comfortable it shows as well as when your wearing something a few sizes to small, trust me it shows. Make every look your own, don’t be a slave to all the latest trends because all the latest trends are not for everyone.
