We gather much from the experiences in our lives.
But are you taking the best from each experience and looking at them as a lesson learned, something to pass on or a hardship, something to be looked at negatively?
Every experience is a chance to walk away with a lesson learned.
Whether its how to do something better, differently or how to handle a situation.
One of the great life lessons I've learned recently came from someone very close to me.
As they were taught, they've passed onto me. Every time someone asked me for money, to give of it freely, whatever I could give. This could be a friend, a family member or more frequently a homeless person or someone in need. A couple of dollars, loose change, whatever I could afford.
And as small of an act as this may seem, the gratitude it places in my heart every time I do it is unparalleled.
What this teaches me is twofold.
Not to hold on to material or monetary possessions because the thing that I hold onto will escape me the most.
And sometimes, in order to help yourself, you need to first help another.
So ladies of Girl Fearless, what valuable life lesson have you learned recently and how are you putting it into practice in your life today?
