Express Yourself....In a Good Way!!!

Are you a teen blogger? Do you update your Facebook and Twitter status every hour on the hour? Well great! I'm all for it!

But with the many many ways for you to share your life with your online network there is one important rule you should always remember, EXPRESS YOURSELF...but in a good way!

Remember that what you tweet, blog or status update about, potential college recruiters and employers can and do seek to find out more about you.

So while it might be cool to imitate lyrics to a popular song or repost funny but perhaps not so nice pictures, think for a moment before you push send, is what you're posting truly representative of you?

Its great to be funny, to be controversial, to even go against the grain but why not try providing your tasteful spin or take on things so its more about your self-expression.

I know it might not seem like much now, but many platforms keep several years history of your online behavior and when you're applying for that program, scholarship or internship wouldn't it suck if something you said or didn't say was taken out of context and held against you?

So I challenge you, express yourself, be FEARLESS, be bold but in a good way (wink)
