Writing Your Way to Your Dreams by Writer Fearless

Greetings Girl Fearless!

Part of pursuing any dream (which for me is writing) is pursuing it every day. Just as we have to work out daily to keep our bodies in shape, we have to work daily at our talents. As a writer with a million other interests and things to do everyday, it can sometimes seem overwhelming to find the time to write. But I know that writing makes me happiest and connects me to my world. Because I have a dream of becoming a working writer, I set time aside time every day to write a poem, even if it’s only for a few minutes.

For all of you writer girls out there, I want you to do the same. Write a poem like me. Every day. Or keep a journal. Every day. Or get up each morning and scribble down whatever is on your mind. It doesn’t have to be a masterpiece or even a complete thought. And I encourage you not to think about it too hard. Sometimes the best ideas come when we allow them to come without judging them or ourselves. Just go with whatever pops into your head, even if it seems silly or unimportant. The important thing is that you understand that whatever thoughts you have come from you, and YOU are special and unique to the world when you write these thoughts down. You can choose to share your writing or keep it to yourself. Either way, you are contributing something and are actively pursuing a dream.

Okay, gals. Since you are so fearless, I’ve got a challenge for you.

Get yourself a notebook. Write today’s date in it.

Now, answer the following in the form of a sentence, poem, scene, or essay:

How am I fearless?

P.S. It’s okay to be afraid.

  1. I am fearless becuase no matter how life gives me lemons I can turn it into Lemonade. I love my life, love God, Husband, my children and friends. I'm fearless because 1st and foremost I'm a child of God and I'm saved.

I have God very present in my life and have a relationship with him. Fear comes from wanting to control a situation, people or things... When you realize that God has a plan for everything in life - letting go is just the most liberating experience.
